The Way of Tea
Chadō–or "the way of tea" as it's directly translated–is a beautiful aspect of Japanese cultural history which is still practiced to this day. It is considered a spiritual and aesthetic practice for refinement of the self which takes long dedication and discipline to improve the skill. Chadō focuses on the concept of host and guest spending a serene moment together, seemingly frozen in time, over a steaming bowl of matcha tea.
In the Garden of Serenity, our tea house acts as the place of frozen time, where guests of our Cherry Blossom Festival pause their hustling and bustling in the outside world to sit, connect, and share a warm beverage with our tea masters and one another.
