Bethlehem - Tondabayashi Sister City Commission

Check back soon to find out when we have more Japanese lesson scheduled. These are generally Wednesday evenings, and class runs from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  Head over to the Library's website for more details and to sign up for classes.

The Sister City Commission is currently partnering with the Bethlehem Area Public Library to offer free Japanese lessons to the community. The lessons are open to all, regardless of skill level or previous experience. Older children are welcome, but most students are adults and the curriculum and activities are more suitable for adult learners. Lessons are designed to be modular and require minimal knowledge from previous weeks. The focus of the class is on casual conversation and practical functionality for visitors to Japan.
 
Our instructors, although not native speakers, have lived in Japan for many years, and are also experienced educators with a great passion for sharing their knowledge.
